She is an expert in the renovation of old furniture. If you have soiled or damaged furniture that you are tired of , or you want to add it some fantasy, she is going to find with you the harmony, the design or the decoration you are wishing.

Carole Herbert will work on your piece of furniture. She will paint it and decorate it following your preference. It may match your carpet, or walls, or copy the design of your curtains...

She is also an EXPERT MEDIAEVALIST being fond of this period. She is able to decorate your wall with Middle Age scenes of primitive Flemish or Italian painters. She recently discovered a fascinating scene of QUENTIN METSYS that was disappeared for 2 centuries... (Confidentally imparted to a devotee.)

Carole Herbert studied painting with several old masters in the famous “Marais”, and has acquired special skills for renovating old furniture :

- first of all, they have to be made of genuine wood

- secondly, they must be perfectly scraped, cleaned and sanded

- thirdly, they must receive several very special undercoats.
This is going to be perfect to stabilize the final decoration..

The background of the decoration is a casein paint (an old flemish technique) eventually covered with an oil glazing, or wax-patined.

The scenes are oil-painted, and the flowers or foliage are casein-painted.
Notice : Children’s furniture is always painted with acrylics and varnished – for health reasons.
For the murals, according to the scene you ask for, the price varies from 300€ to 500€/sq.meter
